A Postnatal Doula can give you and your family the support you need when you need it most and give you the confidence to parent in a way that feels right for you and your partner.

Visits are in your home (if local) or virtually.

Blossom’s Postnatal Doula services include assistance with:

  • Breastfeeding

  • Formula feeding

  • Bottle feeding

  • Using a breast pump

  • Learning to read baby’s cues for hunger, sleep and discomfort

  • Learning how to soothe your baby

  • Understanding newborn sleep

  • Meal planning

  • Learning how to wear your baby in a carrier

  • Emotional support

  • Building your confidence in parenting

  • Processing your birth experience

  • Learning how to care for baby (diapering, bathing, burping, etc.)

  • Easing into the transition of parenthood

  • Connecting you with resources in the community.

The information provided will be:

  • Current with today’s standards

  • Evidence based

  • Simple to understand

  • Useful, real-life recommendations that you can use for your family.

Blossom will not:

  • Tell you how to parent

  • Replace your primary support circle

  • Clean your house (laundry, dishes, etc.)

  • Care for pets or other children

  • Diagnose medical concerns
